Signature Prints is delighted to announce the launch of its new Blueprints wallpaper collection, a mixture of old favourites and brand-new work. Eight designs from the Florence Broadhurst library are used in a variety of colourways, totalling 42 examples of high wall fashion. The designs selected (namely: The Cranes, Japanese Bamboo, Horses Stampede, Floral 100, Japanese Floral, Egrets, Shadow Floral and Floral 300) follow a loose oriental theme which is enhanced with the use of gold and silver metallic bases. Signature Prints has spent much of the past year researching and developing new printing inks to complete the story - all inks are now water-based for ecological reasons; all are durable, washable and fade resistant. Words such as 'vibrant', 'classical', 'poetic' and 'romantic' give an impression of the visual effects conveyed by the Blueprints collection. As the fashion element moves from feature walls to whole rooms and beyond,
Signature Prints' colourists have taken into account concepts including:
residential and commercial; masculine and feminine. The colours are classical, poetic and romantic and blend the old with the new: for example, the royal blue Shakesphere with an exotic floral colour, Daiquiri Ice. The wide selection of colours suit a variety of interiors and climates. The range uses tonal qualities rather than contrasting colourways, and the print colours complement the base papers. For Example, Dark Beige blends in with the Lime Silk Slub basepaper, and the colour Nude was developed directly from the Pink Silk Slub basepaper. Signature Prints' marketing director Helen Lennie explains the genesis of the range: "We have developed a high-fashion wallpaper collection from our libraries using traditional methods of silk screen hand-printing. We are excited to release this craftsmanship to an international audience." And Signature Prints' CEO David Lennie is very happy with the end result: "Signature Prints now caters for a global audience of high-fashion installations. Blueprints, although based firmly in the past, uses all things modern to ensure the user of the papers creates the ambience required. Excitement, strength, peace - even tranquillity - are all moods achievable from this new collection." The Blueprints collection consists of the following designs and key colours: Egrets Egrets: Caughlan Red and Winnow on Matt Brushed Silver Mylar Shadow Floral Media information and high-res images of the Blueprints range are available from our website: www.signatureprints.com.au.
